This is a real split in a thematic sense. Stephen is in rare form, making old-school industrial with Warner Brothers cartoon samples and car horns and game show buzzers and other dadaness, rhythms out of creaking doors for gypsy folk, eerie exotica, calliope music, the most awesome song every made out of a juice harp ("Electric Fretnum Attachment"), etc. And then there's Spasm. I don't know these folks but there is some promise here. First track: tribal, ritual, like something off an "Arrhythmia" compilation. Second track: psychedelic guitar freakout with some odd tangents and interludes. Seems like it was a bad trip. But it sounded good. :D So yeah, it doesn't all mesh per se. But it's all good stuff.
