No mention of the b side anywhere, which is just as good as the a side. Bukem on the downtempo tip, 'Cosmic Interlude' also appears on the 'Earth 2' comp and is a lovely slice of Jazz and ambient beatwork. The thing that's nice about this track is it's not too coffee table jazz like a lot of the later Earth material. It starts from a double bass swing sample and just builds adding flickering delayed piano work that teases out a positively breath taking melody out of nothing, it all comes together for a quality trip that you can really get lost in. I'd go so far to say this was one of Bukem's best downtempo tracks, simple, emotional and effective. An criminally overlooked, slept on audio treat. There are no youtube vids of it, check here for a clip -https://www.beatport.com/track/cosmic-interlude-original-12-mix/4100827

Tokyo Dawn is a seminal classic in my all time top 10 of Drum & Bass tracks. The track grabs you from the start with uplifting chords, one of the best drum breaks ever, tearing baselines and one hell of a drop. From the golden age of intelligent D&B; essential

Global Progression
IMO the definition of atmospheric jungle. the title gives good idea about the structure of the track; an artificial organism consisting of natural elements, slowly awaking (hmm...)best enjoyed on a good soundsystem and preferably on psychedelics in order to appreciate every detail

Ballardana
"Tokyo Dawn" is one of the best atmospheric drum and bass releases. Doc Scott opens things with heavy atmosphere and bits of melody before bringing in the breaks and bassline that crush everything in their path. Few tracks in any genre can approach the majesty with which this track carries itself. A true banger of the "intelligent" scene....
