Includes a gatefold info sheet with photos, info and tracklisting. Also included are postcards to give to your friends so they can send off for their own copy of this box set.
No release date mentioned, the release date of 1971 is approximate, and derived from the pricing of the box set as detailed on the postcards. The price here is in two UK currencies, decimal and pre-decimal: £6.98 (£6. 19s. 7d.), and as decimal currency was officially introduced in the UK on 15th February 1971 it is very likely that this box set was released then.

First issued pre September 1969. My best set has:
Poly-lined Inners with British Patent etc, and code-dated 1969, although not all are exactly the same prefix code.
Vinyl having early .Mother Stampers coding.
Labels have the "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE... Etc". This statement ceased being used by Sept 1969.

Therefore, an original first issue box set has the "SOLD IN U.K.." statement on all labels.

"ELECTRONICALLY REPROCESSED FOR STEREO REPRODUCTION" on the first three album's labels.
However, this is EMI, and they have always stood for quality recordings, which these are.
None of that awful re-channelling or re-enhancement sound!
