his latest release, titled “Lup Sherpa”, Barcelona-based producer V. PIZZA brings us an amazing beat tape full of dusty soul gems sampled flipped and combined with a bunch of Hip Hop and R&B acapellas.
Lup Sherpa, runs nineteen tracks long and remixes artists such as Danny Brown, Nicki Minaj, Anderson Paak, and MF Doom in a very refreshing way: Lo-fi sound, consistent drums played on the background and a characteristic protagonism of sampled voices in the mix are some of the particularities of his production style, highly influenced by Hip hop legends like Madlib and Dilla.

After his last year’s surprising collab with brooklyn’s rapper Akua Naru and his band’s critically acclaimed debut EP “Variacions en fu remoll de la 5ª Simfonia inèdita de Roger Linn” (Extraño Weys, 2014), Pizza is giving one more step to introduce himself to a bigger audience, and it seems to us that he could give a lot to talk about.
