Notes

A Dewar House production.

This collaboration album was a project of Dewar's whisky.

The album was put together by Stephen Marshall and it was mainly driven by Lomond Campbell. They hired the sculpture studios at Edinburgh University, asked Paul Savage to set them up as a studio and got a group of musicians, singers and songwriters together and gave them a week to collaborate on every song and record an entire album. 500 copies were pressed up and given away - about half went to the artists, so they sold them at gigs. The artwork was Sean Dooley - the wallpaper was in his house and he took all the amazing photos, the one on the cover was one considered as the cover so it was stuck it up on his wall, and he liked the contrast with the wallpaper. The picture on the back is the lathe that was used to cut it. A cd single promo of a song not on the album was also released.

Info about the catalogue number: "by the way DEBSM26 is Dewar's Experimental Batch Stephen Marshall and 26 was the number of countries Tommy Dewar visited in two years in the early 1890s promoting the whisky."

This is what the producer/record label head honcho had to say about the production of this album:"If it's of any help, i put this album together and it was mainly driven by Lomond Campbell. We hired the sculpture studios at Edinburgh University, asked Paul Savage to set them up as a studio and got a group of musicians, singers and songwriters together and gave them a week to collaborate on every song and record an entire album. We pressed up 500 copies and gave them all away - about half went to the artists, so they sold them at gigs. There are still some available at the Triassic Tusk site. The artwork was Sean Dooley - the wallpaper was in his house and he took all the amazing photos, the one on the cover was one we considered as the cover so stuck it up on his wall, and he liked the contrast with the wallpaper. The picture on the back is the lathe that was used to cut it. We also released a cd single promo of a song not on the album, and a five copy single of the entire group covering the song Comfort In Rum by HMS Ginafore. There's a lot more to say about it, but i'm watching the telly. Cheers"
