The two versions/dubs from the original 12"s have seen a renaming on this 10" - Jungle Dread has became Jungle Signal and Mastermind has became Masterpiece

Roots and Culture may be Mikey Dread's most lasting contribution to the genre. Not only was it the theme to the Channel 4 series "Deep Roots Music" but it features perhaps the most spine tingling horn attack in reggae... About 3 minutes in, totally out of the blue, as Mikey toasts to a bubbling bass, a big trumpet section suddenly steps out of your speakers, into your living room, lift their horns skywards and give a celebratory peal fit for the entrance of His Imperial Majesty himself. If you haven't heard it, do. It'll be on your MP3 player for ever

I've just bought it, cost me 30quid mind but well worth it

Nice description of the horns on this tune. I agree with you, they come from nowhere and proceed to blow the house down, so epic is the sound.

"Roots And Culture" is pretty solid, but the real gem is "Jumping Master" - a superheavy rub-a-dub piece, lyrically paying respect to big men in reggae production business. The only annoying thing is the "pre-made" wheel-out in the beginning.
