ndup
7" single that John Peel kept in a special box which housed especially important or precious records.Apparently if there was a fire he planned to grab this box above all other possessions. It's a good gospel record and the sentiment is a fine one - but I don't think it's one of the greatest gospel sides ever cut. There was a TV documentary made about Peel's special box. Quite interesting. When I heard about this selection of 7"s I made up my own 'saved from a fire' box. It contains many of my all time favourites as well as very rare and expensive records. I'm in two minds about it though - having them all in one place makes me nervous.
