Constellation Tatsu strikes again with this release by Thousand Foot Whale Claw. "Hadean" is a stand out track for me with its light guitar playing and pulsating rhythms. "Cassini" takes me back to the time of the early 1990's when I was discovering new ambient music from the likes of Pete Namlook and various Fax+ artists. Listening to this cassette takes me down memory lane and shows that even after 25+ years of listening to this type of music there is still so much out there to discover. With a name like Thousand Foot Whale Claw I will have no problem remembering them whenever I am at my local record stores browsing through their inventory. I plan to seek out more release by this artists. "Hyugens" is one of the faster tracks that almost takes it up a notch to a trance like state but in a good way. The term "trance" can scare off a lot of listeners but this style is of the early 1990's trance like material that was being released by the likes of Mixmaster Morris. "Mood Light" is amazing with its lush sounds and is perfect follow up to ""Hyugens". "Black Tears" closes this cassette on the perfect vibe and leaves me wanting more. What more can I say. Pick this up while it's available.
