Napalm Rave I & II are classics. Volumes III & IV are listenable at times and they do have their moments. V & VI are just sheer rubbish: the only musical achievements seem to be the discovery of the ping-pong loop by the producer and shifting a sound up note by note — over and over again ad nauseam. Plain crap is what it is. And the overall bad mastering and sound quality shan't be forgotten. As NR I was done by a variety of producers (J. Nash, J. Krengielczak, R. Winkel etc.), NR II was pretty much an album made by W. Berude all by himself. Both are great pieces of hardcore history. First edition was more hardcore techno-oriented as the second was Dutch-gabber-like. Even the filler tracks on these two are par excellence! On the last two volumes the producers were that smart that they didn't put their names on the steaming piles of garbage they had made, but it sounds like it was made by one and same, horribly untalented and out-of-ideas person. The world is full of great music — don't waste your time on this one!
