Flamekiller
A smorgasboard of funk, soul, electro samples, rhythms woven together into a 35~ minute hip-hop/trip-hop mash-up fiesta, with constant and consistently meaty beats that will get that head nodding. I wonder how much of this is just CR wearing their influences on their sleeve, it's a fun piece of work but doesn't really achieve too much "artistically"... but I'd put it as an observation, not a criticism. This is a fun album, and anyone interested in instrumental hip-hop, trip-hop and funk should try it.
