I remember in my teens listening to this entire album. Now I have the CD.

This is one of the best Christmas albums recorded - hands down! Its urban grooves and hip-hop style work perfect magic into the traditional songs we've fallen in love with over the years. What's more amazing is that the instrumentation is minimal - not overdone with layers of overdubs. Recording this project in the studio (Kirk's 1st project was recorded live) does not hamper the performance in any way and the arrangements are very catchy. I've listened to this album over 30 times and I never tire of it. The singing performances are very powerful and the Christmas message comes through loud and clear. Kirk's contemporary genius is very evident on this recording and we can hear his maturity on later works.
