Nettale
I happened to find this at one of my favourite shops. Even though I had the 1977 album on German LP (bought at the same place; small town), I needed the other one. I think perhaps A&M Canada released this to fill the void between 'Paris' and '...famous last words...', even though it was actually part of a series of fitting two albums on one budget priced cassette. Russian pirate and legal EU labels alike were able to put two shorter albums onto one CD over a decade later.I think it was padding to have the hit "Give a Little Bit" as an encore (even though the label had to fill out the blank space at the end). I think having the then-rare one-off single "Land Ho!" would have been more of an incentive to get this tape, but it may have never have even been considered.Supertramp, especially Roger Hodgson solo, are much bigger in Canada than the States and UK combined, possibly to the point one might think of them as honorary Canadians, but most of the band live in the US now. That's why I'd have to go to Niagara Falls, ONT to see him today.I tend to go for the Hodgson tracks (you know how they pulled a Lennon/McCartney), some Davies ones I like such as "Another Man's Woman" (for this release).Completists and collectors will likely buy this one. I just have two more to get on import (I don't give a toss about Supertramp after 1983).
