Notes

A concept album centered on the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. The official Savatage site has a copy of synopsis from the liner notes for anyone interested in full background.
Excerpts from Mozart were used in "Mozart And Madness" (Public Domain).
Excerpts from Beethoven were used in "Dead Winter Dead" (Public Domain).

This album includes the first publication of the instrumental "Christmas Eve (Sarajaveo 12/24)" that has since become a popular holiday piece best known under Jon Oliva and Paul O'Neil's Trans-Siberian Orchestra brand, released on the inaugural album "Christmas Eve & Other Stories" a year later.

Hidden Winter
I found the musical style on this album to be very similar to their Trans-Siberian Orchestra sound. Not only does "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)" directly carry over to TSO's "Christmas Eve & Other Stories", but this album's "Not What You See" (track 13) sounds like the origin of that album's track, "An Angel Returned."
