This is not really a Coil release and really doesn't deserve to be listed as an official Coil release. According to many people close to Jhonn and Peter, this is nothing more than cash grab by the two dancers that Coil used when touring live. Peter gave them some sounds to play around with and this is what them came up with. Peter or Jhonn had ZERO input into the composition, arrangement, vision, direction etc.. They had nothing to do with it besides giving these two goofs a few throw away sounds to use for their own production....and here they turn around posthumously and put "COIL" nice and big on the front of the disk. Shameless, shameless, shameless attempt to cash in on the Coil name. Hopefully this is not a trend going forward in which more and more people are going to come out of the woodwork with "the secret Coil release that has just been discovered". It's sacrilege. Coil were extremely particular and discerning about what they released under the name Coil. They certainly would never sanction it for this complete pile of garbage. Just look at the 2003 version of this release, titled "Black Sun Productions" and then look at the 2017 release titled "Coil...with Black Sun Productions". Fucking ridiculous bullshit.

I think you may have placed your review on the wrong release page. This page is for the edition of Plastic Spider Thing that was released on the Eskaton label.

Received a copy just recently, and those ritual drones filled both, my room and my head that evening - bit by bit. Stunned I listened to all those ever repeating motifs and echoes of motifs and sounds and voices. I also read a review by someone who tells this release to be the worst remix-album he's had the displeasure to own, yet. Listening to it, my mind tried to trace his words saying "This is a meal prepared by someone with a minimum of effort and not worth even considering" - but something else deep in me said "Eat!" - and so it was!

A very droning, ambient remix of past Coil works.A lot i can't recognise but there are versions of 'Rosa Decidua','Moons Milk or Under an Unquiet Skull','Switches','Regal' and 'Beestings'.Toward the end there are remixes of the Nine Inch Nail songs 'Leaving Hope' and 'Adrift and at Peace'.The last two songs use pieces from Psychic TV's 'Electric Newspaper Issue 3' album. This is best listened to on headphones in the dark when all the pulsing drones diverge and collide in ever-changing ways.
