I picked this unknown (for me) jewel some days ago in a local store, and i have to say, Wow!!!, what an amazing found, this record is great and a very interesting mix. "Soy Guajiro" is a great salsa track, very montuno style, "The Main Man" is a boogaloo-timba mixed song, very well composed and funky, "Los Habaneros" is a very raw and violent timba song for the expert dancer, and then it is the jewel of the crown: "Gorilla Shoes", this song has become one of my favorite Latin Jazz songs, is just perfect, very short for such an amazing song, an excepcional mix of jazz trumpet and walking-bass then evolves to a very danceable salsa style and go back and forth like and Scherzo, definitely Mr. Robles showed it's amazing composition skills in this amazing song and this amazing record in general.
