I'm in the field recording since 2012. It all started when I bought Zoom H4n portable recorder, I tried to take it with me for walks as often as possible, especially for walks through the forest and other places free from the city noise. In addition to the usual stereo recording using the X-Y microphone technique, I started experimenting with a binaural microphones, as well as with contact microphones (in particular, I used them in my homemade hydrophone).
In my past works, many of my field recordings have already been used, but most often they were used as some kind of background textures. In this album, I decided to bring field recordings to the foreground, allowing the listener to immerse himself in the sound environment of the various locations and objects that I have captured. Throughout the album I constantly shift the focus from the environment in general, to small details: from the noise of trains somewhere in the distance, to the bumblebees on a flower bed, buzzing right above the ear, from the thunder, echoing through the wide courtyards to the dribbling raindrops on the eaves. I strongly recommend to listen the album with headphones on."
Tools: zoom h4n, roland cs-10em binaural microphones, homemade hydrophone, guitar, tascam 4 track cassette recorder, tape loops.
