Breder
Some fans have described this as the "new age" or "easy listening" MB, at least prior to his re-emergence in the 1990s. I would consider that to be unfair but understand the criticism. This LP does have a "lighter touch" than most of his recordings, perhaps all of them to that time. It's heavy on distorted organ; there is the hint of space-rock here. MB doesn't really play any instrument with great facility, it's always been more about shaping sound for him. It just doesn't seem to be what he did best overall. However, it's not a bad record if you enjoy works of this nature. It is fair to say that this is less essential than Regel, The Plain Truth or Endometrio/Carcinosi (or, if you prefer the harsh side, Aktivitat). The original package is quite beautiful nonetheless. It's a screened monochromatic abstract print, a series of shapes, on a folded oversized sheet in a plastic cover.I've noticed the embedded video to the right with a video for Placenta. The piece is a compilation cut added as a bonus to the Mectpyo Bacterium CD reissue, and is not representative of the album otherwise.
