This album is a pretty good 90's dance compilation. One thing this album did well was put in some of the best oldies from 'The Best Dance Album In The World...Ever!' series into one brilliant mega-mix. It was mixed by none other than Richard Evans, who is my pick for the best DJ mix throughout the 90's, and Simon Walsh.Looking closely at disc one, I was happily impressed to see some songs that you would never see elsewhere - such as Strike My Love Is For Real, but then you have the awesomeness of M.A.R.R.S, S-Express and Shaggy as the ultimate mix, with George Michael's Fastlove, Livin' Joy's Dreamer, Toni Di Bart's The Real Thing and Corona's Rhythm Of The Night. I especially loved the inclusion of The Human League's Don't You Want Me. There are some really good mixing examples, like The Goodmen's Give It Up into Strike's My Love Is For Real, and The Human League's Don't You Want Me into Amos's Stamp. So while the inclusions are quite good, it ends on a slightly mediocre note with Underworld's Born Slippy which has been done to death. While some mixes do feel slightly forced, the entire CD is very memorable. When considering the second CD - Clock Oh What A Night (December '63)! That's what! When I first heard this I thought - a kind trip down memory lane. I was very fond of JX's Son Of A Gun, The Original's I Luv U Baby mixing into Don't Give Me Your Life by Alex Party and Temptation by Heaven 17 (one of my all-time favourites). There are quite a few negative aspects unfortunately, such as the inclusion of R. Kelly's Vibe and that I wish that it didn't end of B.B.E's Seven Days & One Week. While I enjoy Seven Days, putting it at the end made me feel a little disappointed because it mixes so well into other club hits. There are also many other worthy mentions, like Walk This Way by Run D.M.C, Culture Beat's Mr Vain and The Outhere Brothers' Boom Boom Boom. I really enjoyed this CD as well, but a little more than the first disc for it's inclusions and mixing. To conclude what I have said earlier, the inclusions for the most part are great and the mixing is really good. Some songs really feel forced while others just cannot be mixed with each other - like Snap's Rhythm Is A Dancer into Technotronics' Pump Up The Jam. It's a great album, mixed by Simon Walsh and Richard Evans and like 'In The Mix: 90's Hits' it is a nice album.
