Rather obscure release from Denmark. Frank Visti is a classical tenor singer and the release may appeal to those who prefer for example classical romantic lieds of the 19th century. They are mostly performed that way. However the music here isn't in classical form but a mixture of folk songs and jazz arrangements. The lyrics are all in Danish (mostly adapted from famous Danish poets and authors), and you probably miss the best part of the album if you don't understand Danish. Unfortunately I don't, but I still like this album quite a bit, just because of the charm and accessibility of the melodies and arrangements. And of course the presence of some Danish jazz masters, e.g. NHØP and Bjarne Rostvold. Good stuff for explorers of sound.
