Notes

"Dial A Freek" was the first record out on Macola.
Egyptian Lover himself drew up the label and colored the logo.
This version, which can be identified by the absence of the Macola company information printed along the perimeter of the labels of the 1984 reissue, is the first pressing.
Then Macola added it for the distributors to know where to re-order from.

Still don't get why this doesn't change hands for a lot more dough, what with the production/band line up (Bobby Ervin, Greg Broussard AKA The Egyptian Lover, Mark Jordan, Roger Clayton AND Rich Cason!!) & being the 1st press. Its a classic.

West Coast greatness!!!!! RIP Rodger

In 1984 MTV asked me to do a Video for Dial A Freak, they would also pay the production costs. I denied because as a DJ I thought, everybody would record the VHS and nobody buy my records anymore. That´s how I thought those days.Egyptian Lover Interview January 2006

The Sinners from Mitar
the L.A. Electro contingent meets the p-funk underwear party. Sleaze!!! What I've heard about this one is there is one Ice-T lurking within this party rock record. it is what it is. Certainly entertaining, sure to get some heads running, the in the know approving head nod, etc.
