A criticism of this otherwise pretty good selection of unmixed tracks is that they appear to be vinyl rips. They are reasonably clean and well done but nevertheless do have audible clicks and pops throughout. You may find some of these tracks on other Beechwood compilations in slightly better quality. The labelling of quite a few of the tracks is somewhat incorrect too.

I'm not really a speed garage fan but Matt Antonio's "Closer" on here is a fanatastic 2 Step UK Garage tune with a great saxophone riff and a female vocal repeating the lyric: "Don't you know I need you closer"? - that still sounds great today. One of those tunes that causes people to come up and ask you what it is whenever they hear it played. For me this really sums up the sound of London UK Garage at its peak. As far as I know this release is the only place you'll find it unmixed on CD - it's worth having just for that.
