Per Dresden Dolls Facebook on July 5th, 2011:

"‎'A is for Accident' was the album that we put together and released in early 2003 as a live collection, while we were working on the artwork and finishing touches for The Dresden Dolls album with Martin Bisi, which was released officially by us in September of 2003.

It is a collection of live recordings, that was culled from sources such as radio stations, mixing boards, and our little ADAT machine and because we were broke and had no real access to get it professionally mixed, we put it out as best as we could get it at the time, to sell to our fans at the shows.

We remastered the album at Sterling Sound in NYC for this 2011 issue to resolve the volume level discrepancies in the tracks and get the most out of the EQ that we could.

So hopefully our little punk rock live bootleg will find new wings for this vinyl issue and provide a snapshot of where the band started out."
